About Webbs Chapel Methodist Church - Denver NC
Our History
Webbs Chapel has a long history, beginning in the late 1800s. Many of today's members are part of the original founding families.
Since 1968, the church has been part of the United Methodist Church. In August, 2023, the church voted to disaffiliate from the UMC.
On Sunday, September 10, 2023, the church voted to become an independent church. Please pray for Webbs Chapel to make the right decisions and follow God's plans for our future!

Reverend Melissa Peeler became a licensed Local Pastor in June, 2023, at the Western NC Annual Conference in Lake Junaluska. Rev Peeler had served over 20 years as a Certified Lay Speaker from her home church, Reeps Grove UMC, in Vale NC. Rev Peeler brings her many years of experience to Webbs Chapel in thoughtful, provoking, and bible ba

Rev Peeler also works as a Patient Care Coordinator at Atrium Health Lincoln.
